Today I got up and went to church. As usual, I want to state that I LOVE my church family. This Sunday felt very different because I got to be on the Worship Team (not so different) and then I got to stay IN THE SANCTUARY for service. I have spent a lot of time back with the kids lately, so it was sort of nice to be out with the adults. And, I was amazed at how the sermon was right for me. It shouldn't be that big of a surprise, but I was in awe of God this morning. As Pastor Mike preached, I thought, "okay, God, I get that!" Good, good stuff.
So, after church I went home and packed up and came to Texas to visit Ms. H. After 6.5 hours in the car, and lots of good prayer time, I made it here safely. I am glad to get away for a few days, and act as if there isn't a Nowhere Real, Missouri to get back to. For the next 2 weeks I'm acting as if I'm not even a teacher at a school. :-)
Of course, the imfamous "Freddy" won't get near me yet. That's okay, give him time, and he'll figure out how cool I am! :-)
So, for now I'm gonna logout and relax!

I am in year 23 as a Special Educator at the elementary level. I did one year of Middle School last year though, and loved it! At the moment I'm at the elementary level and do like it. I also serve in the JoyKC community as a volunteer and board member. I also continue to serve at Camp Barnabas as a cabin Mom. I am enjoying this life I'm living!
