AS THE DAY BEGAN...

...the teacher awoke and prayed before turning on the light. She noticed that it was extra-dark outside, and wished she could go back to sleep. At the same time, she knew she had a mission ahead of her today. LittleLady had no idea what was in store for her today!

Upon arriving at school, she was busy from the moment she walked in the door. She had a meeting, a class to teach, another meeting, and other various things to do. She was breaking-in new shoes, and was reminded with every step how much she takes for granted, including walking. *grin* She found herself praying (in her head, of course!) with every step that she would not fall as she walked down the EXTREMELY long hallway to her classroom. She was happy that she made it all day without falling.

When LittleLady arrived to class, she made a point of praying in her head to get wisdom on what to do for the child. She took time out from the group she was teaching, to go over and teach her what she needed to do for the class period. She made her way to each of the students before returning to the group she had waiting for her.

Upon returning to her group, she noticed LittleLady was still showing her typical behaviors, which bummed her out, but she prayed (again, in her head.). After the group did their group work, she needed partners for timed reading, and LittleLady volunteered to help. The teacher thought it was a fantastic idea!

When it came time for LittleLady to read, she did a GREAT job. In fact, the teacher was supposed to be listening to another student, and at first was amazed at LittleLady's effort. She waited until time was up, and students were working independently to talk to LittleLady.

When she talked to LittleLady, she told her that if she worked that hard on everything she did, she could become anything she wanted. She also said, "I believe in you." To which Silentlisteningboy said, "You believe in everybody!"

The teacher grinned...and she silently prayed that everyone would get that in their head and hearts.

She believes in everyone in that classroom. Even on the most frustrating days...
