SHOES....

It seems about once every two years I post about shoes. I have bought roughly 11 pairs of the same Nike's over the past two years, and have LOVED the shoe. As an adult, I will buy the same shoe until it either doesn't work anymore, or they quit making it. Well, I'm now at a fork in the road, so to speak.

I went to JCPenney last Sunday to buy the same pair again. Only problem is that they're not available in my size anymore, but there is a newer version of the shoe. So, I tried it on, and bought it. Same size, EXACT SAME size shoe as the one before, but it's clear that after three days of trying to break them in, I need to return them and begin the cycle again of finding a shoe that works.

I'm not going to lie, this is one of those moments that having a limp makes the experience a little more character-building. I have no doubt that Penney's will let me exchange the shoes. I'm just praying that there's something there that will work for me. As an adult, it takes trying on several shoes to find the right one.

Today I wore my old pair of shoes to school, so my feet don't hurt tonight. I'm not exactly looking forward to the shopping experience, but I am looking forward to having shoes that work for me.

To you, it may just be shoes, but for me it's something that matters to me. I've been in pain this week trying to break them in. Life's too short to be in pain. *grin*

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

*grin*
LIFE.
IS.
GREAT!!!
