FCF
Tonight I went with some friends to Forerunner Christian Fellowship (FCF), which is my church. I always look forward to Saturday Nights, because it's where I fit in better than anywhere else. *grin* I love it!
Worship time was a lot of fun. I love how we "flow" in songs, instead of just doing song after song after song. It makes each service different and unique from the one before. I like that. *grin*
We went into prayer time, which is ALWAYS favorite part for me, and the Lord led me to pray for a couple of different young people. It was a lot of fun. One of them, the Lord really led me to encourage a nice young lady, and I was SPENT by the end of it. That being said, I KNOW that she is the whole reason I was at service tonight. She was touched by God, and that had me smile the whole way back to my seat.
I sat through the sermon, and struggled. Not because of my typical ADD stuff, but because I don't struggle with the things taught in the sermon. You're wondering, "Well, what was the sermon about?" Glad you asked. *grin*
It was on the love & mercy of God. Now, I realize that there were 250 new IHOPU students in the crowd, and they probably did need it. So, I get that. However, I don't struggle with how God views me. I'm strong in my relationship with the Lord, and don't question those things.
As I sat there, I pondered how patient I need to be because we're a congregation that has SO MANY visitors. I am not going to be fed all the time there. I am going to be praying about that a lot in the next week, because I was really frustrated tonight by the time the sermon was over, because the preacherlady just kept going on and on and on, and all I wanted for us to go back into worship (music). *grin* I know, that part shocks you because I LOVE music.
Then God reminded me, tonight wasn't about me. It was about that young lady.
Someone was brought closer to Jesus because of me.
*grin*
LIFE.
IS.
AWESOME.
